Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
One of the biggest demands of our students on campus is snacks. Students frequently ask teachers and their peers for snacks. I want to provide a space for BSA students to get the snacks they need and also have snacks at our after-school meetings.
Black Student Association is a relatively new group established in the 2022-2023 school year to educate students on diversity, build a sense of community, and encourage cultural identity.
Last year, we visited Texas Southern University, a local HBCU, and hosted the Black History Month celebration. As time progresses, I would like to help the group explore more parts of Black History in Texas.
