Building Tomorrow Together: Inspiring Sustainability, Organic Living, and Inclusivity
Help me give my students Lego sets to encourage awareness of sustainability, embrace organic eating, and foster inclusivity in our community.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The students in our school are culturally diverse. They work hard and are eager to learn. More than half of them come from low-income families. We have many students with special needs as well as many who are immigrants. Together they speak over twenty different languages. In addition, they all have different learning abilities and learning styles. They are energetic and love participating in community events.
I aim to provide my students with educational Lego sets to showcase in our dull lobby, fostering and promoting an understanding of sustainability, encouraging organic eating, and embracing inclusivity for our community, parents, and visitors.
In my STEM class, students are exploring sustainability, cultivating healthy eating habits, and fostering inclusivity. Several students actively engage in our school's sustainability club, ensuring proper recycling practices among our community.
Constructing these Lego sets serves as an excellent means to promote their learnings within our community. The completed projects will be showcased in our lobby and shared on our school website and Instagram page, allowing everyone to witness and understand the message we aim to convey.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
