Building Thinking in Personal Financial Literacy Class

Help me give my students the means to take home their work as they learn though building thinking classrooms. Personal Financial Literacy class builds resources as evidence of student learning and to reference post high school.

My Project

Building Thinking strategies will be used in our Personal Financial Literacy class. The rolling white boards, erasers, and pens provide engagement activities for small groups, while computing the real world financial problems that occur when purchasing homes, cars, and an education.

The goal is for students to be able to see and read their financial goals, seek out the plan they envisioned during class, and know how to question banks for products they will be needing for business ventures, like buying a home and car.

In class, they learned budgeting and have website access to the 101 Financial platform. Their book is a means to store all the moving financial parts and helps with applying what was learned.

My students' work evidence is packaged by printing and binding their digital notebooks for them to take home. This way, they will have a resource to turn to post high school and are able to apply their learning. The cellophane envelopes are used, so we can see the student's name.
