My Project

The students in my classroom learn best through explorative and collaborative opportunities with our given themes. Their excitement is obvious with themes that build upon their natural curiosity. Our town has historically been a farming community, and the theme of Farms/Farming is new for our students and the books, games, and toys chosen will facilitate the exploration necessary to enhance the students' learning in all areas of development. Hands-on activities such as building and manipulating not only support content learning but also support those with fine motor development needs. Dramatic play opportunities present further situations to explore social and emotional areas of learning. Play based activities offer the children student discourse in a non-threatening format rather than teacher directed formats.

Mr. Miceli will only receive his materials if this project is fully funded by June 4.
