This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My sixteen Pre-K friends walk into the room with smiles on their faces and ready to see what new learning experiences awaits. They love having different materials to observe, use and explore. Every day my students inspire me by their enthusiasm, care for one another and the love they show for learning.
My students are bright, eager learners waiting to see what learning opportunities each day will bring.
My Pre-K students are part of the state-funded GSRP (Great Start Readiness Program) program in Michigan. Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan's state-funded preschool program for four-year-old children who may have factors which could lead to them as "at-risk" students.
My Project
The future sits in my classroom today. An engineer, scientist, or architect might just be a few of the careers my students may pursue when they are older. My pre-K class loves to build and use their imagination to create towers, castles, building, and other great structures. Please consider helping my class create even more great creations.
My students would love to have Magna-Tiles and snap-blocks to allow their imaginations to soar.
By receiving Magna-Tiles and the snap-robots and dinosaurs, my students will not only use their imaginations, they will also use their scientific skills by learning how the magnets work, explore spatial relationships by learning more about shapes, use their fine-motor skills by snapping and unsnapping the blocks together and finally work on their social-emotional development by taking turns and sharing with their friends.
