My Students

I am teaching third grade in a special program called Dual Language Immersion (DLI) in a Title I school. My students receive 50/50 instruction in Spanish and English. I teach a total of 31 students, in two different sections, English Literacy and Science/Social Students. The students come from English speaking homes as well as English learner homes.

My students have yet to receive English Language instruction in a formal setting.

The goal of the Dual Language Immersion program is to create bilingual students who can read, write, and converse in both languages.

My Project

My third graders are lovable and excitable students. They have a lot of energy and are eager to learn. They have constant energy and would benefit from ways to focus their energy so they can focus on their learning.

With flexible seating options, students can choose a seat to be successful, while releasing some of their energy.

Each student can choose a piece of furniture to help them succeed every day. While having a way to release energy, I hope my students will be able to focus on the lesson. With greater focus, comes more retention which will create successful students and future citizens.
