it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have a group of 12 dedicated UTK students in a dual language class who are eager to grow and expand their knowledge. They approach each new learning opportunity with enthusiasm and a willingness to engage in both languages. The resources I am requesting will provide them with the practice they need to master alphabet sounds, a critical skill for their literacy development. With a strong foundation in letter sounds, my students will be better prepared to transition into kindergarten and continue building their reading abilities in both languages.
The goal of this project is to enhance their phonics skills and give them the confidence to tackle reading challenges ahead.
What makes my students special is their ability to learn and adapt in a bilingual classroom, which enriches their overall academic and cultural experience.
