My Project

My first-grade students will benefit from these materials in a variety of ways. First and foremost, S.T.E.M. bins help students to use creativity and critical thinking. Additionally, having access to the bins will help students to foster a collaborative relationship with their peers and learn valuable team-work skills. Some bins will also feature fine-motor skill practice which is crucial to the development of handwriting and other life skills like zipping jackets, tying shoes, opening containers, and more.

The possibilities for use are endless.

These bins will help to give them a great start to their morning as they will be able to choose an engineering activity to get their brain engaged and ready for the day. Students who finish their work early will have an activity that is just as motivating as it is educational. It will also help me greatly reduce the amount of screen time and increase the amount play that my students have, as many materials can double as indoor recess activities rather than having to use games on Chromebooks.
