My Project

It's scientifically proven that children who have diets rich in nutrients have an easier time learning. My students all come from low-income families. I also have several who left their countries to try and make a better life in America with their families.

This project will help promote healthy eating habits in order to grow strong, healthy minds.

Students will then be able to take home fresh veggies that were harvested in our classroom for their families to enjoy and the students to educate their families.

Many of the families do not have the funds for fresh foods and often rely on processed foods or pre-made foods. By having this in our classroom, it will give the students healthy options and also a sense of pride in growing their own fresh veggies!
