Our Family Resource Center opened last April to try and connect students and their families with much needed resources (after doing this virtually) during the COVID pandemic. After surveying our families, our Parent Advisory Council worked to develop programming to meet the needs of our families. Now that we have identified the needed supports, we would like to provide programming for our students and families. "Cultural connections" was one of the areas that students and families wanted to have more engagement opportunities with (specifically learning how to make different kinds of leis). We plan on having "Friday Night Lei Making" teaching Ribbon Lei making, Eyelash Lei making and Plumeria Ribbon leis.
