Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am excited to get to know a new group of students. While working with my students last year I noticed they did not have much during indoor recess or free time. I want to give them options that allow them to build strategy and community skills. Having games in my classroom will help them to think outside the box and on certain games build good team and communication skills. Some of these games such as Set help the mind to see things differently and emphasize that as each student can see the sets in different sequences. As for games such as Guess Who or Battleship, this provides opportunities in the process of elimination and makes the mind work to remember details.
