This project provides the tools and project kits for my second year Aquaculture students to learn how to properly solder. Soldering is a skill many adults use in their craft. It is a transferable skill for many careers such as robotics, electronics, scientific monitoring and data collection, mechanics, and the list goes on. Our class participated in underwater robotic competitions and build out equipment for our aquaculture facilities like automatic feeders and data collection. Being able to learn and practice this skill will not only help them be successful in their school endeavors but also their adult lives.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
