Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
With new tools, my students can use more advanced manufacturing methods to create more creative and ambitious STEM projects to learn from. We have expanded our project-based learning curriculum so more of our students are building several STEM projects and competitive robots. We need more hand tools for them to use, such as the balldriver screwdrivers, as they assemble things while working in various teams. Also, having these tools and resources to accommodate rookies will give every student the chance to help with manufacturing. We have many new people interested in joining our team.
Perhaps more important than the hands-on experience will be the non-technology skills my students will develop--problem-solving and everyday life skills that will prepare them for their futures.
By having more resources, we will be able to provide them all with an in-depth learning experience. Please help provide resources that can help us become the next generation of STEM professionals. We would be actively promoting STEM within our community starting in our own high school.
