My Project
This project includes materials that will help me create a "Calm Corner" for students to utilize to take a mindful break to calm down when needed. Students can use these materials to practice self-regulation skills that they can then use independently in their own classroom. Additionally, this project includes bins that will help me organize my classroom library so students can readily access books they need to address whatever experience they are having. Students will be able to create a calming glitter jar that they can take home with them and use for self-soothing. Materials from this project will also help me decorate my classroom in a way that creates a warm, affirmative environment for students that will help them feel comfortable and safe in the space to open up about their experience. Additionally, with this project, through the TpT gift card, I will be able to purchase materials created by other social workers and counselors to address the specific needs of my students and provide them with individualized counseling that meets them where they are.
