This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our classroom, learning doesn’t stop at textbooks. It comes to life through hands-on experiences and meaningful interactions. Many of my students thrive when learning is active, social, and fun. That’s why I’m building a collection of classic and strategic games like Uno, Operation, Guess Who, Jenga, checkers, and card games. These games do more than entertain. They help students develop communication, problem-solving, turn-taking, and collaboration skills.

These tools are especially important for students with diverse learning needs, including those with IEPs or English language learners.

Games provide a safe and enjoyable way to practice real-world skills like patience, emotional regulation, and teamwork. By incorporating structured game time into our weekly routine, I’m helping students grow academically and socially.
