Every student benefits from having access to comprehensive skills based health education. Even my youngest learners can make personal connections to the learning taking place in health class. They are excited about developing skills to take care of their physical, social and mental health.
Having access to nutrition and mental health materials for learning centers will give my students hands-on learning opportunities to explore these critical components of wellness.
Having quality art supplies to express themselves, including Colors of the World crayons and markers, will make a big difference in how they can engage with personal projects about themselves and their families. Elementary school students learn best through play. These materials will allow me to create engaging learning centers to help students develop the skill of self management - identifying the habits and routines that they already have that help them to be healthy, as well as identifying new areas for growth.
