My students need these hands-on active items, such as Block Play kit and Create-a Chain reaction kit, to boost their scientific knowledge and engineering skills. The microscope will help them view the many objects they are interested and learn the skills of being a scientist.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Growing and learning everyday, absorbing all they can through hands-on experiences. My young students need hands-on materials to help them explore math, science, language, and social concepts. They crave visual experiences and activities that help them make connections and build new meaning.
Active, curious, creative learners, those are my children.
We get messy, make mistakes, and try again. My students want to try new things and love working together to find out how things work. they just need the materials to do it.
My Project
Our classroom needs science station materials! The Block Play kit and Create-a Chain reaction kit will teach the students about design, motion and problem solving. The magnetic kit is for much more than learning about what is attracted to a magnet. My students will use it for exploration of what materials different items are made of as well as motion and problem solving. Science and math are the foundations of architecture. My future builders will use the blocks and blueprints kit to learn how to follow instructions and to create their own designs.
Creating scientific minds and thinkers is what its all about!
With the microscope students will be able to see details and use what they see to record in their science journals. The students don't have these kinds of materials at home and with these tools we will be able to give them the foundations they need for Kindergarten.
