Building School Culture through Product Design

My Project

Middle school students are imaginative and have endless ideas. We are developing a makerspace that will encourage students to craft hands-on projects, focused on creativity, cooperation, and STEM learning.

Students often come to the library seeking out ways to build community and strengthen existing relationships.

One way that students have begun to build community in the library is by creating items in the makerspace to share with friends, classmates, family, and staff.

We want to provide the opportunity to design and share mugs and tumblers using our Cricut Maker. This project will purchase the press needed to create mugs for years to come, as well as the supplies for the first 46 student projects.
