This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I need access to the award-winning Conscious Discipline: Building Resilient Schools and Homes 10-session online course to strengthen my skills in social-emotional learning (SEL) and trauma-informed practices. This professional development will equip me with effective strategies to create a safe, connected, and emotionally supportive learning environment.

Conscious Discipline empowers educators to respond to students' behavior with compassion and structure, fostering stronger relationships, better classroom management, and lifelong emotional resilience in students.

By participating in this course, I will learn how to address behavior challenges with empathy instead of punishment, build a sense of community in my classroom, support students dealing with trauma and stress, and model self-regulation strategies and emotional intelligence.

The tools from this course will help me meet the emotional and behavioral needs of every learner, especially those facing adversity. Your support will not only provide me with powerful professional development, but it will also ripple out to benefit every student I serve, helping them grow into more confident, kind, and capable individuals.
