Building Relationships on a Fun Field-day and Flexible Seating!
Help me give my students a relationship building field day at the start of each quarter. Approximately half of my students have special needs, so flexible seating really helps them during class work-time.

My Project
Our 8th-grade social studies class is planning an engaging relationship building outdoor learning experience to bring history to life, but we need your help! My class is made up of half special needs students. We're seeking generous donations to make this quarterly outdoor event a success.
Specifically, we're requesting a shade canopy to protect students from the sun (and to hang and display poster projects on), a water dunk game for fun, and themed hats to enhance our role-playing activities, and rolling/spinning chairs for certain students with short attention spans in the classroom.
I currently have only one office chair for a student to use and every class a few students rush in to ask for it. Only one gets it and the others are disappointed. I would love to have one table dedicated to the office chairs. The seating could be used as rewards and for those students who can't sit still for long in a basic chair. Flexible seating has really helped some of my students with special needs produce more quality work.
Last quarter students had a project where they presented a career to the class which they were interested in. A lot of them had entrepreneur ideas, but didn't know much about economics and actually making enough money to live off of. Our community here is at 80% poverty rates, so a book on how to make money for kids looks like a great resource for them.
Your support will directly contribute to creating a memorable and educational experience that fosters a deeper understanding of our shared history. Students will enjoy completing these relationship building tasks with others at the start of each quarter.
