My Project

I am hoping to use games in my classes to give my students opportunities to create relationships with their peers and learn through games.

In my History classes I want my students to be able to experience games that kids their age played during the colonial era like Fox and Geese, Shut the Box, Cup and Ball, and Nine Men's Morris.

This will give them more hands on experience in the learning and help them relate to the people who lived during this time period.

I started teaching a new class this year called Latinos in Action. The emphasis in this class is on service, leadership, educational excellence, and focusing on individual personal assets. Playing games will help my students connect with their peers and build relationships while learning more about their own strengths and weaknesses.
