Building Reading Confidence for All Students

Help me give my students graphic novels to encourage struggling and reluctant readers!

My Project

Each of the books that I am requesting was put on this list by a student in my classroom. I work with students reading several grades below grade level and are reluctant to pick up a book. Graphic novels such as Avatar, Percy Jackson, and Pokemon help make reading so much less intimidating for my students. Since graphic novels contain less text, they feel less overwhelmed while also helping to build vocabulary, build reading confidence, and help to foster the love of a story. My students and I would love any support you are able to offer!
