Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am so lucky to have such amazing first graders in my classroom. I have a class of great 6 and 7-year-olds who are full of energy, excitement and are so eager to learn. My students are also so creative and inquisitive.

My Project

In 1st grade we want our students to strengthen their brains by building, reading, and creating.

We want our students to be able to problem-solve and think outside the box.

The STEM tools allow our students to do that. Additionally, using STEM materials helps our students practice working collaboratively. These skills that they are practice will go with them as they move forward in school.

My students love picking books to read. Having books displayed outward on the shelf helps engage students and encourages them to read. I use these books that my students love and connect them to their writing. This connection to books engages and encourages my studnets.

The art supplies will allow my students to create and will increase their learning. Having enough supplies for each student will help us not share germs.
