Help me give my students a listening center to help them learn new words and become better readers.

My Students
When I became a teacher, I thought I was going to be doing all of the teaching; however, my students have taught me so much. They remind me how to be kind, loving, and forgiving. They show me how to be brave, understanding, and how to find pure and simple joy in life.
My students love to laugh, create, and have a great time.
They really thrive on hands-on learning during math and science. They love singing, writing, reading, and learning about the world. I have a student that could tell you almost anything about Utah and its geography.
The pandemic has taken a toll on my students. Many are afraid of their families getting sick. We had to do virtual learning last week, and they were really worried we wouldn't come back. I want to give more opportunities for them to enjoy learning. I love being a teacher and I love my students!
My Project
Who doesn't feel anxiety when we don't feel good at something? The pandemic has greatly affected many of my students in math and reading. Bringing in more hands-on math manipulatives will allow math learning to be a form of play instead of work.
Many of my students have had a hard time reading.
Several came into third grade reading at a level well below where they should be. A reading center will not only be a great reprieve for my students from anxiety as they get lost in the world of stories, but it will also help build their confidence when they recognize words as they follow along. Listening to another reader may even allow them to enjoy reading again by realizing that books are fun! Please help make reading fun again for my students!
