My Students

Our school is a Title I school in Lebanon, OR. Our students come from diverse backgrounds, but all have the heart to learn.

We have had a unique past couple years of school due to the pandemic, and social emotional needs are reflective of that.

Our students are great kids with amazing potential—when given the tools to succeed, they can meet and exceed goals with great enthusiasm. We need to find ways to meet them at their most basic needs. During these times a lot of focus is on the family, not just the student. There have been and will continue to be many emails, phone calls, and text messages to keep in contact with our families to be there for their needs, whatever those may be.

My Project

We are working to build positive, meaningful relationships with students, starting with those that struggle the most. Our Student Support Team meets the task of building deeper relationships and one way that is done is through game play.

Our project includes an assortment of games that can be played 1 on 1 or in a group setting to help build positive, meaningful relationships.

While playing the games we are chatting about their day as well as teaching social strategies in a game setting.

Our students recently took part in an Uno tournament, taking the opportunity to interact with other adults, expanding their relationship circle. Your donation will help get more Uno decks as well as some other requested games.
