Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year we will begin with Cultural Awareness and Differences and build on that concept for our students. We are creating a Cultural, Safe Space for our students so that they will learn about each other and themselves through sharing Who they are and Where they Come From. Our first Read Aloud " The Stars Beneath Our Feet" by David Barclay Moore will hopefully open our student's minds and hearts to building together and respecting each other based on their life experiences, prior knowledge, and sharing in the classroom! Our students have no idea how smart and special they truly are. It's our job to make them believe!
