I lead a STEM Enrichment class full of varying personalities. Eighteen sixth-grade students, all with uniquely shining personalities! Some are carefully cautious, doing each project with thoughtful planning, and some are avidly social, doing each project with enthusiasm and excitement. It is refreshing to see them work together to explore new topics and achieve greater challenges!
My favorite part about this class is getting to watch special-needs students come alive in their design and craft, despite their struggle in other, more traditional courses.
This type of class brings out a diverse side of students you do not see otherwise, and I am blessed to be the one watching as future scientists, engineers, doctors, mathematicians, architects, and artists find their place in the world! We are requesting reusable building materials so students can create, build, and explore the STEAM world. The Legos open the door to tactical building, the dominoes will open the door to creative and precise building. The STEM straws will allow my students to create bodies of cars, dinosaurs, houses, and more! All supplies donated as a part of this Donors Choose project will be used in my STEM classroom for years to come. Thank you for stopping by!
