My Students

My students are super talented! I teach a self-contained, autism program at a Title One, middle school in Manchester, New Hampshire. My students make me laugh, they challenge me and they keep me busy every minute of the day!

All of my students are unique, creative and love music, art and anything hands-on!

They teach me something new everyday, about them, about myself and about autism.

While teaching them the skills they need, I also try to make each day fun and exciting. When my students show an interest in something, I try to encourage them to build on it. Whether it be arts and crafts, music, building, science, whatever they are interested in, we learn as much as we can on the subject!

My Project

I believe in helping my students learn and explore the areas that interest them. I believe in encouraging them to expand on their talents and find new ones.

My students are coming to an age where they are figuring out who they are and what they enjoy doing.

I have some students that love music and the CD player, CD's and harpsichord will encourage them to explore and create in this area.

Other students love building and make huge buildings from the few Legos that we have. New building kits would encourage them to follow this interest, explore new ideas and think critically and creatively.
