This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Hands-on learning is a vital part of childhood because it’s how young children start learning skills. Young children begin to use their hands at a very early age. It is through handling an assortment of things that they begin to experience the world around them. I must admit that the Science area in our preschool classroom is lacking a variety of tools. My goal is to start focusing on how I can make this center area more inviting for my curious learners. In this project, I have chosen sensory paint and bright, colorful sensory sand for my students. I was so impressed when I had read that the sand "magically" sticks together and will never dry out! How perfect is that! What a wonderful way to combine science with building fun!
