This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Due to Autism, my students struggle with language and literacy skills. The products I have selected from Lakeshore will provide my students with a variety of learning tools to help them be successful readers and build their language skills. My students learn through repetition and the "All About Letter" chart will provide my students with focused, daily practice with every letter. We are working on independent work skills and with the "I can build Words", I can build an independent work station. This box set not only provides a visual of the spelling of the word with the picture of the object, but is color coded to the letters so it can be scaffold for my lower readers. It was important that I selected items that are FUN!! Learning tasks can be daunting for my students so why not make them interactive and enjoyable.
