There are many things that I love about the students in my classroom! They are eager, enthusiastic students who love to learn and relish a challenge. I am always amazed at the amount of excitement I see in their eyes when they learn something new.
Technology plays a huge role in our classroom.
The kids use chrome books on a daily basis to enhance typing skills, to improve research skills, to write and edit compositions, and to reinforce skills previously learned in reading and mathematics. Technology is also utilized regularly to teach new concepts in social studies and science.
One of the projects that my students enjoy most of all, is their Genius Hour Projects. Genius Hour is one hour of time set aside each week for the kids to learn about any topic they want. The idea behind Genius Hour is that students are motivated when they get to learn about topics that they are passionate about! The kids develop their research and writing skills during Genius Hour. The project culminates with the kids putting toge a Google Slides Presenentation that they present to the class.

These Chromebooks will make a difference in my students' learning by giving them more opportunities to develop their skills with technology. It will allow them to improve and practice their typing, editing, research, presentation, and critical thinking skills. These chrome books will help the students develop skills that they will utilize throughout their lifetimes!

These chrome books will give my students the opportunity to develop the skills that will eventually help them become valuable contributors to the our nation's work force. There is no substitute for hands on application. By using these chrome books, my students will be setting themselves up for success . . . today, tomorrow, and in the future.
