This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As we are wrapping up our fourth year into eSports, I want to say an amazing thanks to those that donated to us earlier in the school year. Since your last donation, we have won the California State Championship in Rocket League and are going to Kansas City to compete in Nationals! We couldn't have done it with you.
We hope to continue to bring more attention to our program as we seek to win more tournaments and ultimately win scholarships for our talented students.
It's hard to fathom that in this new age, students are getting signed by colleges to compete in eSports, but as this industry grows, let's be in the forefront for our students and give them the necessary tools to get to the colleges of their dreams.
With the requested gaming desktop computer, our new goal is to catch up to other high schools and build a full-fledged eSports Lab on campus so that students can compete in the various games they are interested and not have to worry about the lack of equipment at home.
As mentioned before, a vast majority of our program graduates have gone on and majored into the STEM field of engineering and computer science! As this program continues to expand, we hope to build students' soft skills in technology wherever the new job market may be.
