Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My classroom has recently seen an influx in students whose primary language is Spanish and while it is incredibly exciting to be able to practice our Spanish skills with these students, it is incredibly vital that these students learn English as fast as possible so they can learn all that they need to move forward in their academic career.
These Spanish-English dictionaries will be vital to getting the students to truly learn and understand English which will make them more successful both in our classroom and over time.
Right now many of our students over rely on their iPad and they will take a picture of a text in English and then have it translated into Spanish. These dictionaries will remove that possibility and promote true learning of the English language.
