Building Our Classroom Library!

Help me give my students reading bags and one hundred fifty new books to fill our classroom library!!

My Students

First grade in the best place in the world. It is a magical time where kids learn everything about their environment. They develop creativity and enhance their imagination. They become more independent, while still aiming to please!! They are inspired by the world around them. We are a Title I school, but we work hard to excel. All teachers work hard to provide the best-individualized education for all students. Our first-grade class is made up of students who are eager to learn about everything.

My Project

How do you become better at anything? By practicing, of course. Each week my students get to "book shop" for new books to fill their reading bags! The books from this grant will provide 150 new fiction and non-fiction books to add to our check out library. The students will get to fill their reading bags with books to read during independent and at home reading!

I want to be able to provide my students with a wide variety of books to spark their love of reading!

I have already begun to see that spark in some of my students! I am so excited to see how far my students come as readers because I hear first grade is the year they really take off. These books will help my students take their reading to a whole new level!
