Building Our Classroom Library From The Ground Up!

My students need books for independent reading and for guided reading groups. Right now our classroom has zero books! Please help us build our library!

My Students

I have not met my students in person, but based on the conversations I have had with other staff, I know they are going to be a group that requires a lot of reading support on various levels of skill. Not to mention, I need books that allow them to expand their mindset, to get them thinking about the future, to ensure that they are getting the well rounded education they deserve. My students need to walk in the first day and be able to say, "This year, I will take my reading to new heights." This starts with a fully developed classroom library.

My Project

Right now our classroom library has zero books. That means, on the first day of school, my students will walk in to a classroom with no books. As you know, reading should be done every single day in a classroom through read alouds, independent reading, book discussions, and so much more. I need to have books in my classroom in order to give the students I have a proper education. These students deserve a great classroom library and, though this set of books will only be the beginning of a great library, it provides them with some resources to get reading. Please help us to create a love of reading in our classroom!
