This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my middle school science classroom, many students struggle to keep track of notebooks, handouts, and investigation materials. When papers are lost or damaged, students fall behind—not because they don’t understand the science, but because they lack the tools to stay organized. By providing each student with an individual organizer or compartment and a clipboard, I can create a structured system where every future scientist has a designated place for their science folder, investigation notebook, and learning materials.

These organizers will help students build lifelong skills such as responsibility, time management, and organization.

With clearly labeled compartments, students will spend less time searching for materials and more time engaged in hands-on science investigations. Most importantly, this system promotes equity—ensuring that every student, regardless of background, has access to the organizational tools they need to succeed in science and beyond.
