Help me give my students access to great books and paired learning activities!
This project expired on February 15, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Our school serves students grades pre-k through fifth. My school is located in an area of Arkansas that could be considered in need of repairs. More than 90% of our students participate in a free or reduced-rate lunch program.
Because money is in short supply, I am always looking for ways to help bring exciting new materials into the classroom.
My students have limited experiences, so projects like these help make learning come to life. These experiences will help my students develop a love for learning.
A library should be the hub of a school or classroom. Students should want to sit down and cozy up with a good book and read for pleasure or for a specific purpose. This year, as our school works toward bridging the gap between Kindergarten and Pre-K, I want to bring in more opportunities for my students to learn about their emotions.
Books make learning come to life for kids, so help me make learning vivid for all kids!
The books I am requesting will help me teach my students about social skills, their emotions, mindfulness, and more. I am also requesting books to align with various hands-on learning opportunities. The book Owls will pair perfectly with our unit about birds when we dissect owl pellets. The Dinosaurs A to Z book will go great as we dig up our own fossils and become paleontologists ourselves. The chart paper will help me document students' learning throughout our studies about our emotions, moral character, and other topics.
