Building Number Sense and Math Confidence!

My Project

I love my students’ resilience and determination. Many of them have faced years of frustration with math, yet they come into our Math Lab every day ready to try again. They’re funny, curious, and incredibly capable when given the right tools and support. What I admire most is their willingness to celebrate small wins—every mastered math fact or lightbulb moment builds their confidence and pride.

Each of the resources I’m requesting will directly support their growth:

Calculators allow students to access more complex problem-solving without getting stuck on basic computation, giving them a chance to focus on reasoning and patterns.

Number lines help them visualize math concepts like addition, subtraction, and even negative numbers in a concrete way.

Math fact flash cards give us a simple, effective way to build fluency through quick, engaging practice and games.

Individual whiteboards make it easy for students to show their thinking, try without fear of making mistakes, and receive immediate feedback.

A fact fluency program provides structured, personalized practice so they can finally gain confidence with foundational skills they’ve struggled with for years.

These resources will help make math feel more approachable and even fun. With your support, my students will continue to see that they can learn math—they just need the right tools, time, and encouragement.
