My Project

The items requested will be given to my students throughout the school year. I teach in a low-income school so these books will help build their home libraries. Each book will be given out around certain holidays. The bear purchased will be given with the bear book so they can have a stuffy to read to. Kindergarten students love not only looking at books to read, finding sight words we are learning in them, and also starting to begin to read the words in the books. Building home libraries will also increase family time at home as parents can spend time with their child reading to them, which is an important skill for students to see and hear. The birthday bracelets will be given to students when we celebrate their birthday at school.
