My Project
Social emotional skills are how people interact with each other and regulate their emotions. Students with disabilities often have a harder time with these skills that their general education peers.
From eye contact and personal space to managing emotions and making decisions, my students need extra practice with social emotional skills. These books and games provide opportunities for my students to practice working together with their peers. They can see examples of children that are struggling with the same skills they are and how the child fixes their mistakes and works hard to practice the skill. These resources will be a great addition to social emotional learning in my classroom.
