Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach a group of caring and loving bilingual students. Despite having learning disabilities, they always strive to achieve their academic goals. My students love interacting with each other and working in groups. They enjoy coming to class and learning new things together. During these unforeseen times, it has become extremely difficult to stay connected and active as many families do not have access to technology or the outdoors.

In our classroom, WE NEVER GIVE UP.

Ensuring a fun and creative environment is essential for my students to be engaged. Having the right resources will help to enhance our classroom environment for long-lasting learning experiences.

My Project

These materials will be part of our small group guided reading routines. They will be used to enhance the reading skills being taught. Our students get highly motivated to learn and read when we use educational games. By making learning fun, we are feeding their intrinsic motivation to want to learn and even make them responsible for their own learning.

My students struggle with reading comprehension, and these resources will help to teach different reading comprehension skills individually.

They will also be able to use the resources at home for further practice.
