We are a state-funded preschool program. Our students are creative, imaginative, and curious. We are always looking for new ways to help us learn math, handwriting, and science. Most of these students are unable to afford the rich preschool environment that they deserve.
Most students do not have access to learning materials or even an adult to read to them outside of our classroom.
We want to build a rich, learning-based environment in which our students are given the ability to explore math, science, and art concepts.
We are looking to expand our sand and water table by offering other materials for our children to explore. Each year we teach out students month long studies.
One of these studies is building, so what better way to learn then by having hands-on items?
We would love floating blocks to build with. These will teach our students spatial awareness, communication as they work in a group, and math skills while they learn shapes and count blocks.
Another one of these studies is growing and weather. The clouds would help our children explore how we get rain and snow as we learn about life cycles of both rain and our plants.
Some of the other materials, like the slime and molding sand, are great for children to explore and learn communication. They also help serve some children as just a calming place when they get over stimulated in the classroom.
