This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Do you know how to use tweezers? Can you grip your pencil to write your name? My goal for Team Poe is to build their fine motor muscles so they can focus on the curriculum without stress! Due to the pandemic, I am seeing a lack of strong fine motor skills.

Students are struggling with foundational skills in my classroom due to learning loss with the pandemic.

I need to support them by building their fine motor skills. The pandemic has had a huge setback with my early learners and their ability to grasp pencils and tools while learning.

Fine motor skills are critical when writing and manipulating to learn new skills. This year, I will implement morning tubs. When students come into the classroom, they will start the day with building fine motor activities to review kindergarten skills. The materials for this project will be used daily to build fine motor muscles. Students will be creating letters, numbers and words with all the different material. Team Poe will SOAR all YEAR with strong muscles and big BRAINS!
