Ever wish you could build and explore? In our library we do just that! Not only do we learn by reading but we as take it a step farther by creating, inventing, and wondering about what we read. We also explore to ways to make things better. These items will help us do that and much more!
I have over 500 students that are always excited to learn something new.
We are a very "hands-on" group that want to be able to not only hear it or read it but we want to make it too. The students work hard to be responsible and even though we have a high free/reduced lunch population we strive to be the best. They really want to reach for the stars. They have big hopes and dreams that you can help make come true.
My Project
We need a Magna-Tiles® - Master Set and the Design & Build Engineering Centers to learn about perimeter, area, and engineering skills. My students in grades 1-5 will use the items to learn about perimeter, area, and geometry. The items will be used in Maker Spaces where the students will get to explore and lead their own learning with guidance. They will learn why engineering is important. They will also be able to work with teams, which is an important skill to have in the real world. If you help us they will be learning life skills that will last a lifetime.
By donating to this project over 500 students will gain confidence in math and science.
They will get to explore hands-on experience with engineering and team building. They will learn how to explore through their own curiosity. This project will help to create life long learners.
