My Project
Our first-grade students are vibrant, curious learners who approach mathematics with enthusiasm and creativity. Currently, we use paper Rekenreks that have served us well, but are now worn and deteriorating. These beloved learning tools have been instrumental in helping our students develop critical early math skills.
Our classroom diversity is our strength - each of our students learns at their own pace, and Rekenreks are a perfect tool to support this individualized learning.
These manipulatives will help students:
Develop strong counting skills
Understand place value
Build foundational base-ten concepts
Visualize mathematical relationships
