This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my classroom, I aim to foster a vibrant community of learners where collaboration, creativity, and literacy flourish. To achieve this, I seek support to acquire a Schoolgirl Style Composition Book rug, serving as the heart of our learning space.

This rug transcends mere decoration; it symbolizes a gathering place for students to embark on literary adventures.

It will provide a cozy and inviting setting for group discussions, read-aloud sessions, and collaborative writing activities, fostering meaningful interactions and critical thinking skills.

Moreover, the rug represents unity and inclusivity, creating a sanctuary where every voice is heard and valued. This sense of belonging is crucial for students, especially those who may feel marginalized. It will empower them to express themselves freely and engage with texts in meaningful ways.

My goals for this project are to create an inclusive environment where students feel empowered and to instill a lifelong love for reading and writing. With the rug as a focal point, our classroom will become a vibrant space where imaginations can flourish and literacy skills can thrive.

What makes my students special is their diversity, resilience, and boundless potential. Despite facing different challenges, they demonstrate remarkable determination and enthusiasm for learning. It is my privilege to guide and support them on their educational journey.

In conclusion, acquiring a classroom rug will enhance both the physical environment and learning experiences of my students.
