This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a teacher of second graders, I am excited to inspire a lifelong love of reading in my students. Many of them are just beginning to develop their reading skills, and having access to high-quality books can make all the difference in their growth.
The items I’m requesting for this project—Pete the Cat Storybook Set, Amelia Bedelia Box Set, Dog Man Collection, The Bad Guys Box Set, Big Nate Box Set, The Cat Kid Comic Club Collection—will give my students the opportunity to explore a wide variety of engaging stories that spark their imaginations and encourage independent reading.
These books will be a perfect fit for their reading levels, providing them with both fun and challenging texts to support their literacy development.
Additionally, I am requesting a 2-in-1 Folding Hand Truck with Folding Basket. This practical tool will help me organize and transport the books more easily, ensuring my students always have access to fresh, exciting reading materials.
My goal is to create a classroom library that not only supports my students’ academic growth but also nurtures their love for reading. My students are curious, enthusiastic, and eager to learn.
