Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Storytellers! Help my 4 and 5 year olds become storytellers. I teach kindergarten in a high need school.
My students are at an age where their language is developing. They need activities that will enhance language. Storytelling is an engaging way for them to allow their language to grow and flourish. They need visuals like character pictures and settings to guide them.
There are these great storybooks that come with felt characters that students can manipulate as they listen to the story. Then they can use independently them to retell the story to their teacher and friends.
Your help will ensure that my students get the opportunity to enhance their language skills. Storytelling is an important skill that will help them in years to come as they learn more and more.
