My Students
My school is located in a small, rural community with multiple students receiving Title I services and free/reduced lunch. My classroom is full of little learners that each have their own uniqueness and challenges. Despite these challenging times, each day they come to school ready to learn in an environment that is steadily moving toward supporting these 21st-century learners.
My Project
My students are curious and eager learners! I work with kindergarten students in individual, small, and large group settings to receive reading instruction to build a foundation to support their reading skills. Students work on letter sounds, phonics, word building, decoding skills, and fluency.
When children are able to engage in multi-sensory activities, it supports all students' learning styles.
These activities will provide each child with the specific sensory experience that will help them learn.
We use magnetic letters on a daily basis, and with trying to keep a safer learning environment, I'd like to provide each student with their own set of magnetic letters to use.
If each student has their own set, it will help manage any shared germs in class. Thank you for considering contributing to these young, eager learners!
