Building Literacy Skills Through Fictional and Nonfiction Texts

My Project
My students love to read. These fiction and nonfiction books would be used on a daily basis. I will be using these books for daily reading time to reinforce their fluency skills, comprehension skills, and accuracy skills. These leveled texts would allow students to practice "at their appropriate reading level," helping them to advance reading levels.
I will also use these books to develop their writing skills through daily activities and lessons throughout the week.
Grammar, vocabulary, and high frequency words will also be integrated into the story and the lessons used with it.
Our classroom library would be complete with a collection of these fictional leveled text that would fit the need of each individual student.
Students would love to have a selection of books to choose from each day. These texts would help students develop comprehension skills, build reading fluency, and increase reading levels.
